COACHING AGREEMENT
The following represents the Agreement between Brianne Leeson (“Coach”), and the person set forth above under “Legal First Name” and “Legal Last Name” (“Client”). The Services contracted shall be that of coaching, as outlined by Brianne Leeson in this Agreement. Please read it carefully and raise any questions or concerns that you have before agreeing to this Agreement. This Agreement will begin upon acceptance by Client and shall remain valid for the duration of the Client-Coach relationship.
SERVICES. The Services provided by Coach are conducted via Zoom call or e-mail. Coaching is a peer-support based relationship, helping clients find tangible steps they can take in their journey to exploring their own neurodivergence and ways to make everyday life easier by working with how their brain is wired. This is not an avenue to a professional ADHD and/or autism diagnosis. That is not a service Brianne Leeson is qualified to conduct.
TERMS OF COACHING. Coach will speak honestly and openly, never leaving anything to subtext. Coach expects Client to do the same. Coaching is largely dependent on the effort Client takes to enact lifestyle changes outside of the sessions. If the suggested changes Coach makes are untenable, Client agrees to tell Coach, and a better solution will be found together.
Please note that coaching should not be used as a substitute for counseling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care or substance abuse treatment and Client will not use it in place of any form of diagnosis, treatment, or therapy.
WAIVER. Client acknowledges and agrees that in the course of the coaching Services, Coach may suggest lifestyle changes and advice. Client also acknowledges and agrees that they are fully responsible for their physical, mental, and emotional well‐being, and for any actions, choices and decisions made as a result of the coaching. Client waives and releases any claims arising or results from Coaches questions, suggestions, and advice (or lack thereof) and from actions, choices, and decisions Client may make.
TERMINATION OF AGREEMENT. If either party wishes to end this Agreement, they will notify the other party by email. Refunds may not be given for remaining scheduled sessions already purchased, if the Agreement is terminated by Client. If Coach terminates the Agreement, she will offer a refund for any upcoming sessions for which Client has prepaid.
PROFESSIONAL ADVICE. Coaching is not to be used in lieu of licensed professional advice. Client agrees to seek professional guidance for legal, medical, financial, business, psychological, or other matters as needed. Client understands that all decisions in these areas are their sole responsibility.
If either party recognizes that Client has a problem that would benefit from psycho-therapeutic intervention, Coach will recommend you seek an appropriate professional. In some situations, Coach may insist that Client initiate psychotherapy and may terminate this Agreement if appropriate measures are not taken.
CONFIDENTIALITY. Coach fully protects the privacy and confidentiality of the communications with her Clients. At no time will Coach voluntarily divulge information from the coaching relationship between herself and her Clients without written permission from the Clients, unless legally required to do so. Under special circumstance, if Coach is concerned for the physical safety and well-being of Client or others in contact with Client, Coach may notify Client’s emergency contact.
FEES. Coaching fees are paid in advance of sessions, only after emailing Coach and discussing availability. Payment for coaching sessions is to be made online through PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle. Once payment is collected, access to scheduling is provided. Should a payment be returned uncollected, Coach will notify Client, and the scheduled appointment(s) will be canceled until payment is received.
COACHING SESSIONS. Coaching sessions may be given via video call or email upon Client’s request.
- Video Call Sessions
Video call sessions will be conducted via Zoom. Client agrees to attend the scheduled meeting using the link provided. Coach and Client commit to start and finish each session on time. If Client is more than 10 minutes late for a coaching session, Coach will assume the session is cancelled and Client will forfeit the session fee. Client will do their best to attend the video call from a private, quiet environment, as free from distractions as possible. If Client’s video call environment does not meet these specifications, Coach reserves the right to terminate the session, and Client will forfeit the session fee. Coach and Client will discuss alternate methods to video for future sessions.
- E-mail Sessions
Email coaching is meant to offer the same amount of assistance as video coaching. If Client agrees to receive coaching via email, Client accepts that Coach has certain boundaries and procedures for email communication. All email correspondence with Coach will be sent through Coach’s end-to-end encrypted email server. Scheduling for coaching via email is made for a 5-day block of time, starting on a Monday and ending on a Friday.
Coach will check her email twice a day, Monday through Friday. Coach will respond to Client’s coaching emails at those times, as thoroughly and thoughtfully as possible. If the quantity or word length of emails from Client should surpass what Coach can reasonably answer during her allotted response times, Coach reserves the right to reevaluate an email coaching arrangement. This step may be taken to make Services more equitable between all video and email coaching clients.
Coach is not responsible for reminding Client to send emails during a scheduled business week (Monday-Friday) of coaching.
CANCELLATIONS. Client must give 24 hours notice if Client needs to cancel or change the time of a video call session appointment. If Client needs to cancel or change the scheduled business week (Monday-Friday) of an email session, Client must give 24 hours notice before the Monday of that scheduled business week. Otherwise, Client will be charged for the session in full. Coach will make every effort to re-schedule sessions which are cancelled in a timely manner (more than 24 hours before). If Client does not cancel in a timely manner on a regular basis, Coach will need to terminate this Agreement. If Client frequently cancels or reschedules, even in a timely manner, Coach may need to terminate this Agreement or discuss email coaching sessions as an alternative.
TERMINATION OF SERVICES. Either party may terminate this Agreement immediately upon notice. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Client shall not be relieved of any obligations to pay fees due to Coach solely because of the termination of this Agreement.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. Client understands that Brianne Leeson makes no guarantees or warranties, expressed or implied, about any results to be achieved. Client understands that Brianne Leeson shall not be held responsible and shall remain blameless for any adverse or other consequences, including but not limited to financial, personal, employment, or other losses, arising out of decisions or actions the Client may make as a result of the Services provided by Coach.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT. This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding and agreement of the Client and Coach and no amendment, change, or modification of this Agreement shall be valid, unless in writing and signed by the parties hereto.
